The Spay and Neuter Event Schedule
What you can expect for the free spay and neuter clinic event
Once scheduled, your appointment will provide you with a drop off time. Drop off times will be between 7 AM and 8 AM.
Please arrive at the clinic at least 10 minutes before your drop off time. The clinic is located at 1506 Rd 40, Pasco, WA 99301.
Owners and their dogs must form a line outside the clinic. Please give other dogs and their owners appropriate space while you wait.
One at a time, dogs will be brought into the clinic. Inside, our veterinarian team will do a quick weight check and examination of your dog. Then dogs are taken back and owner may leave.
Owners must return to get their dog at assigned pick-up time. Pick-up times will be between 4 PM and 5 PM.
What happens to my dog when I drop them off?
Your dog will be taken into our back area by vet assistants after drop off. They are put in a boarding kennel until it is their turn for sedation.
When it is their turn, your dog will receive sedation and pain medication. Once they fall asleep, our team preps them for surgery. The surgery area will be shaved and cleaned. Then your dog receives general anesthesia and they will be spayed or neutered.
After their surgery, your dog is moved to a warm recovery area where the team monitors their condition and they start to wake up from the general anesthesia. Once the team determines they’re ready, your dog is moved back to their kennel. Then they recover and wait for their pick up time.
About the POPP Spay and Neuter Team

This event will have two veterinarians on hand, one being POPP’s full-time veterinarian Dr. Ames. The other being Dr. Ganesan, a traveling veterinarian who specializes in spay/neuter services. Dr. Ganesan works with the POPP clinic often, helping make our POPP Power Days possible.
This event is made possible by our partnership with Forgotten Dogs Rescue and sponsorship from 15/10 Foundation.
