PASCO, WA – February 19, 2026 – Pet Overpopulation Prevention (POPP), a tri-cities based non-profit dedicated to addressing pet homelessness and overpopulation through cat and dog adoptions and a low-income spay and neuter clinic, announced today that POPP has been nominated for Clinic HQ’s “Exemplary in the Field” 2025 Snippy Award.
Clinic HQ is a cloud-based software for managing spay and neuter clinics. It enables spay and neuter clinics to manage their capacity, schedule appointments online, and record medical and financial information.
The Snippy Awards are a spay and neuter recognition ceremony hosted by Clinic HQ, honoring the work of clinics nationwide in their fight to end animal homelessness. The Exemplary in the Field Award celebrates the clinics that go ‘above and beyond’ and set a high standard in the industry. The award is sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim.
“We’re incredibly honored to be nominated for the Exemplary in the Field Award. On behalf of POPP, I want to sincerely thank Clinic HQ for the recognition and for supporting clinics that lead with compassion, innovation, and community impact,” said Rik Mikals, POPP Board President. “This nomination means a great deal to our entire team.”
The Snippy Awards will take place virtually on February 24th, 10 AM Pacific Time, on World Spay Day.
